Yihan Tong

Hi, this is Yihan! I received my bachelor's degree in biology from Northwest A&F University. When I was a junior student, I came to BGI-Shenzhen and joined the Shenzhen Key Laboratory of Unknown Pathogen Identification lab. In BGI, I have spent two years working on virus-related spatial transcriptomics data, single-cell RNA sequencing data, and genome variation data. In my spare time, I also like hiking, going to concerts, and sleeping.

In the stage of my Ph.D,  I will work on identifying cell-type specific QTLs in type-2 diabetes using multi-omics data and will also like to learn statistics and machine learning.
