Xue Liang
Hi, this is Xue Liang! I am from Qingdao, a beautiful coastal city in eastern China, known for its beaches, seafood, and beer.
I received my PhD in Bioinformatics from the University of Copenhagen in 2024, where I studied extrachromosomal circular DNA (eccDNA) biology. My PhD research mainly focused on constructing the first mouse eccDNA atlas, which revealed the relationship between transcriptional activity, gene structure, and eccDNA formation, providing new insights into mammalian genome stability and mutation regulation.
Before joining Prof. Liu’s lab, my research also focused on mammalian organ regeneration, development, and aging. I primarily applied integrative multi-omics approaches, such as single-cell RNA sequencing and spatial transcriptomics, to investigate cellular dynamics and identify key regulatory mechanisms in complex biological processes.
In my spare time, I enjoy playing badminton, listening to music, and traveling to explore different cultures.
